We recently received a generous donation in memory of Norman Davy along with this heart felt message.

Norman was a part of our family for over 20 years. His sense of humour, warmth and innocence was a gift to our family and community. Special Olympics was a key part of Norman’s social and life schedule. What would things have been like without Tuesday bowling or the University stadium filled with athletes and friends each year as we cheered on? Norman will always be with us and the many Special O athletes who enrich our lives!

Special Olympic jackets are $50 and pants are $25. We will have various sizes available for you to try on. As soon as we have enough people interested, and meet the minimum order requirements, we will order the uniforms.

Three Local Committee Volunteer positions are available:

1. Volunteers Coordinator

We are looking for volunteers who:

• can commit for one year.
• participate in one meeting a month.
• want to be involved in the grassroots operation of the organization.
• are willing to actively contribute by fulfilling the responsibilities of their position, and
• participate in special events.

Or, would you prefer to lead a sub-committee?

You report to a Local Committee member and don’t attend the monthly meetings.

We are looking for volunteers to fill the following roles:

1. Information Facilitator
2. Speakers Bureau Coordinator

By having people involved in coaching and non-coaching positions of Special Olympics – Victoria, we can offer athletes quality sport opportunities, increase our delivery of services and make a difference in our community.
